CDC: Day 14 - Yog-Sothoth

A Great Old One, son of Azathoth and brother of Nylarthotep.  To describe him as he is just a convenience; his form is darkness and the light to see him is one he chooses to bring, for those that see his light are doomed to a death not quite humane.  His ends are unknown, but they concern the fate of the world...and not for the better.

He does not like his father or brother, for they toy with humans that, in the end, only extend the inevitable with no possible benefit.  He hates the fact he has to designate an avatar, but his father made a grave mistake: his father gave his power over to Yog's avatar.  Thus begins Yog's mechanization to end the world and to usurp his father's powers not to rule, but for balance that no human can hope to understand.
