HL - Anna Ref

Her parents were worshippers of a cult that has some visible coverage in public eye, known as the Cult of Hypnos.  A god of sleep, Hypnos has designated a herald every 10th generation through a test.  For every such generation, a group of viable children will be born without crying.  If they ever lived to their first birthday, they would be dubbed “The Tearless,” and will hold more and more responsibilities until their 18th birthday, where they will take over as leader until the next Tearless comes of age.

Anna was such a child.  Of course, through her life, she has dreamt of Hypnos talking to her, and through this communication, she developed a true affinity towards him.  Still, being very weak as a child, she was more often than not unable to go outside, so she often resorted to books, and that was where she developed a love for knowledge and the world around her.  

Although not ready to take on dangerous tasks, Anna is shaping to be one of the Cult’s more successful leaders already, having already been designated as a diplomat for the Cult at such a young age and leaving the Cult with a better perception by the public in recent years.  While she can’t dispel any negative (and to her knowledge, untrue) rumors that sticked, she has made the Cult confident in the years to come.
